💜 Who I Am

Hi, I’m Sharon Connour, LCSW, and I’m the heart behind Along Side You.

I bring over 12 years of experience as a therapist, with a background in hospice care, trauma recovery, and faith-based counseling. I specialize in Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT®) and integrate prayer as a central part of the healing process for those who desire it.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I’ve walked with individuals and families through intense emotional pain — from grief and trauma to spiritual distress. My time in hospice care taught me that healing isn’t about fixing someone — it’s about being present, tender, and trustworthy in the places where life hurts the most.

My work bridges the emotional, neurological, and spiritual — helping you feel safe, seen, and supported as you journey towards healing.

A Little of My Story

My calling into therapy grew from my own experience of seeking God through pain. I understand how isolating trauma and spiritual wounds can feel. That’s why I created Along Side You — a space where healing is gentle, Spirit-led, and grounded in love.

You don’t have to walk alone. I’ll come alongside you.

🐾 Meet Hershey – Our Therapy Dog

Hershey is more than a therapy dog — he’s part of the ministry.

Certified as a therapy dog, Hershey is known for his calm presence and gentle spirit. Whether he’s quietly resting near your chair, laying on your feet, or offering a warm nudge, he helps clients feel grounded and emotionally safe — especially during difficult conversations.

For many people, Hershey becomes a trusted companion in the therapy process — providing comfort, connection, and even joy along the way.
